The development and research departments consist of a very good mix of qualified specialists with many years of professional experience, engineers and scientists with doctorates who work closely with other areas such as design and production. Together, they drive forward the development of new sealing solutions that meet current requirements and customer wishes.

In dialog with major car manufacturers, we strive to develop vehicle parts that are environmentally friendly and at the same time ensure comfort and safety. Against this backdrop, as a future-oriented company specializing in innovative sealing solutions, we invest a great deal of effort in our specialists and technology. Our solutions are designed to meet increasing requirements such as the reduction of emissions or protection against moisture and dust.

The BRUSS work areas are interdisciplinary and complement each other perfectly in terms of know-how, experience and innovative spirit. New manufacturing processes are tested and optimized in the technical center, sample parts are manufactured in the prototype, sample and pre-series phase and experience is passed on to process development for the design of series tools and processes.

Design & CAE 3D measurement

We develop individual products for our customers, drawing on our existing modular system and our technical expertise. You benefit from tailor-made solutions and a broad portfolio of existing products for fast and reliable solutions.

Our design team works with all common CAD systems that our customers also use. Before the prototypes are built, the component behavior under operating load is also simulated in CAD. To ensure first-class product quality, all critical tests are carried out, from static deformation to module and frequency response analyses and stone impact tests.

Prototypes

From the idea to the functional sample - we support your individual product solutions from development to the construction and testing of prototypes through to series production. Thanks to our own technical center, we are not only able to construct comprehensive design solutions, but also have the possibility to produce samples independently of series production. Our prototype tools, compounds and metal pre-treatment are also located on the premises of our technical center, resulting in fewer interfaces, short iteration times and comprehensive expertise. Our prototypes are extensively tested and made available to you in conjunction with comprehensive analysis data. Our prototypes are in turn used to create design proposals and feasibility analyses for industrialization.

Tool design and construction

Efficiency and precision down to the smallest detail: We apply our expertise where it makes the most sense and develop and manufacture the tools for our products ourselves. Our own specialized toolmaking department is on site at all of our plants worldwide and follows our high quality standards. Before our tools go into series production, they undergo various test procedures and are approved in a close coordination process.

By integrating energy management systems in accordance with ISO 50001, we optimize our energy consumption and rely on renewable energies to improve our corporate carbon footprint. At locations where this is possible, we use electricity from 100% renewable energy sources.

All BRUSS plants that supply directly to the automotive industry are IATF 16949 certified to ensure that we consistently deliver only excellent products and services. Like all BRUSS plants, all our suppliers in the supply chain are subject to the same compliance rules as we are. To this end, management has adopted a whistleblowing policy and is committed to running the company with honesty and integrity. BRUSS has introduced principles of conduct and compliance guidelines based on them to ensure compliance with applicable laws, ordinances and regulations as well as social responsibility.
