PTFE seal production
PTFE has made a name for itself as an excellent sealing material for radial shaft seals. The high temperature and oil resistance are worthy of particular mention in this respect.
In order to maximise quality and innovation as much as possible and directly influence costs for the largest part of PTFE seal production, here at BRUSS we decided to implement in-house processes as far as possible, such as the development of necessary PTFE compounds. In a self-developed in-house process, the PTFE powder is pressed, sintered, cut and activated.
In addition to a highly-automated billet press, temperature monitoring sintering ovens and specially-equipped lathes, BRUSS is proud of having had its own activation system on site in Hoisdorf for some time, which was constructed to meet the latest manufacturing and environmental criteria. The linkage of processes now also allows the full application of the KANBAN principle in this manufacturing area.
In this form this is unique worldwide and further proof of existing BRUSS competence in this field.
